California Association of Life Safety and Fire Equipment

Moving Forward Together

CALSAFE remains committed to serving its members with professionalism, integrity, and accountability. Recent events involving a former officer prompted the Board of Directors to take thoughtful steps to strengthen governance, review policies and financial oversight, and ensure continued leadership continuity.

The matter did not involve CALSAFE funds or Association operations, but it did reinforce the importance of strong processes and clear accountability. CALSAFE is moving forward with a comprehensive review and with renewed focus on transparency, responsible management, and service to our members.

As part of that work, the Board is completing a review of policies, accounts, and procedures, while also advancing updated governance practices and leadership transitions designed to support continuity and accountability. The Association is working closely with management to address member questions, support day-to-day operations, and position CALSAFE for continued success.

CALSAFE views this as an opportunity to learn, improve, and move forward in a constructive and proactive way. Our focus remains on serving members, upholding the highest standards of governance, and ensuring the Association continues to be a respected and effective voice for the industry.
While the Association will not discuss private personal matters, we do want to assure members that the Board has remained attentive to its responsibilities and committed to the best interests of CALSAFE throughout this period. The actions taken reflect a deliberate effort to preserve continuity, reinforce confidence, and maintain steady progress on behalf of the membership.
